As essential components widely used in modern industry, injection molded parts' quality directly impacts the performance and safety of end products. To ensure the consistency and reliability of injection molded parts, implementation standards have become the core basis for standardized production in the industry.

Injection molded part implementation standards primarily cover four key areas: material selection, production process, dimensional accuracy, and performance testing. Regarding materials, international standards such as ISO 527 define the mechanical strength requirements for common plastics (such as ABS, PP, and PC), while national standard GB/T 14486 specifies the purity and additive limits for plastic raw materials used in injection molding. During production, mold design specifications (such as GB/T 8846) must be adhered to to ensure that the gating system, cooling efficiency, and draft angle meet process requirements, avoiding defects such as flash and sink marks.

Dimensional accuracy control is a key standard for injection molded parts. Linear dimension tolerances are typically managed using ISO 2768 or GB/T 1804. Precision injection molded parts must meet a tolerance of ±0.05mm and undergo full inspection using a coordinate measuring machine. Performance testing standards include impact strength (ISO 179), heat deflection temperature (GB/T 1634), and chemical resistance tests. Medical or food contact-grade injection molded parts also require specialized certifications such as FDA or LFGB.

Specific requirements for standards vary significantly across different application areas. The automotive industry implements VDA 23 under the TS 16949 system, requiring injection molded parts to demonstrate long-term weather resistance. Electronic and electrical products must pass UL 94 flame retardancy testing and comply with the RoHS environmental directive. Companies must integrate industry-specific requirements alongside general standards based on the product's end use to develop a comprehensive quality control documentation system.

With the advancement of intelligent manufacturing, digital inspection technologies (such as machine vision) are increasingly being integrated into the standard implementation process for injection molded parts, driving quality control towards real-time, data-driven processes. Strict adherence to standardized production is not only the cornerstone of enhancing product competitiveness but also an essential requirement for ensuring the safe operation of industrial systems.
